AMC Conservation Approaches
Leading The Way for a More Sustainable Future
AMC is actively engaged in conservation and research across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the U.S., helping to ensure the future enjoyment of the outdoors for all. The advantages of environmental protection are endless, and we aim to help protect these resources and encourage participation through a multi-tiered approach.
Science
Science matters, especially when it comes to climate change policies. Our dedicated staff of research scientists work to understand how air and water pollution affect the natural world and to identify ways to protect the vital ecosystems where we recreate.
Advocacy
At AMC, we believe the outdoors deserves a voice. We work with decision makers, federal and state agencies, and many recreation and conservation partners to protect vital outdoor spaces in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Our regional conservation and recreation initiatives inform our science-based policy positions that promote clean energy, air and water quality, and land protection.
Protection
We prioritize innovative solutions to protecting and preserving the vital natural resources of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. By balancing conservation alongside responsible forestry, as well as careful recreation to help ensure a more sustainable future, AMC is modeling a land management approach that aids the fight against climate change.
